The first day of school is a great milestone for your child and we understand that you and your child may meet this day with excitement and apprehension. To make the transition into Kindergarten easier for your child, Wayne County Public Schools has scheduled a staggered entrance for Kindergarten students during the first week of school. Students will be split into four small groups. Each group will attend only ONE FULL DAY OF SCHOOL during August 25th - 28th. On Friday, August 29, 2014 ALL Kindergarten students will report to school. This arrangement will allow students to enjoy their first day of school in a small group. It will also provide teachers and assistants the opportunity to devote individualized attention to each new student. We look forward to working with you and child this year!
