3rd Grade Website
I am very excited about beginning this new school year at EWE. There is always that excitement of getting a new group of students to teach and parents to work with. Your child's learning is a three way street that involves you, me and your child. Your child's success in school depends on the three of us working together as a team and watch your child GROW. Our theme for the 2014-2015 school year is "Watch Us Grow" with "Grow" standing for G- goal setting; R- realistic expectations; O- opportunities to experience success; W- willingness to try your best and show your Warrior Pride. These four ingredients set the stage for a successful school year.
Another way to help your child GROW is to have them read 20 minutes every night. Read with them and ask questions about what they are reading. Asking questions will promote comprehension in what has been read.
Please check homework and agendas nightly. Your child needs to know that you are interested in what they are learning. This is one simple way to do just that! Feel free to call, write, or email me with any questions you may have. My contact information is:
Finally, there is one major change from last school year to this school year. I went from being Miss DeBois to
Mrs. Woessner (pronounced Wessner--the "o" is silent). I am excited to announce that I got married on April 12th of this year! The name change will be an adjustment for all of us...and I know that I will be "Miss DeBois" to students for many years to come.
